Ingredients: Maida – 2 cups
Cocoa powder – 2 tbsp
Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp
Baking powder – 1 tsp
Butter – 125gms
Powdered Sugar – 1 1/4 cup
Soda water – 200ml
Method: Preheat oven at 180 degree.
Sieve together maida, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda.
Beat butter and powdered sugar till it reaches a creamy consistency.
Add maida mixture along with soda water and beat well to form a smooth, shiny and fluffy batter.
Transfer the batter to a greased baking pan and keep it in the preheated oven and bake for 50 to 60 minutes at 180 degrees ( a toothpick inserted will come out clean when the cake is ready.

Does the butter in the recipe needs to be white or usual amul salted butter ?
Also, please let me know whether it is a Nita Mehta recipe or an adaptation ?
